I’m Mark Carter, a Designer with over 30 years of experience in architecture & building design, interior design, and construction documentation. Since 2007, I have been a Principal Designer in Red Element Design Studio Based in Charleston, South Carolina specializing in interior architecture, kitchen design, and bathroom design.
Over the years, I have seen clients struggle to fully visualize the intricate designs that are being proposed. It is challenging for them to grasp the true essence and potential of a project based solely on 2D plans and elevations. That's where the power of a 3D model comes into play. Modern software has evolved to the point where I can quickly model the design and then use that model to create sketches, photorealistic renderings, 2D floor plans, elevations, and construction details.
3D modeling is the first step in creating realistic and immersive representations that enhance the ability to effectively communicate the design. Presenting the design in 3D helps ensure that clients fully comprehend our vision of the unbuilt environment. It can then be used to document the design so that it is translated properly by the contractor.
